My oil painting showing the magnificent view from the hills of Astoria, Oregon, has found a new wonderful home ! Thank you !

Here is a foto of the painting on display at Cannon Beach Gallery in the afternoon light before it moved to its new home.

Come to see four colorful inspiring oil paintings at the Cannon Beach Community Art Gallery

Fourteen new oil paintings are on display at my solo show at the St.James Lutheran Church Art Center downtown Portland until November 29. I am looking forward to welcoming you there. Thanks for your interest in my paintings ! until then, take care, Friedrich

Only four more weeks until the opening of my 2024 solo show ! It opens November 4th at the Pioneer Chapel of St. James Lutheran Church, 1315 SW Park Ave, Portland OR 97201.  Come and see 14 all new oil paintings featuring landscapes and seascapes. November 17 from 6 to 8 pm a special artist reception will be held at the Pioneer Chapel. Refreshments will be provided. I can't wait to see you all there.

I am grateful to Paula Paulson and the St. James Arts Group for their support.  Remember you have to see an oil painting in person.  Reproductions cannot capture the light and feelings it gives us. See you there ! Friedrich

My largest picture "At the North Side" (of Cannon Beach) is currently hanging behind the main counter at Cannon Beach Gallery. Come, see and enjoy !

Dear friends, please join me this Friday from 4 to 6 pm at the Cannon Beach Arts Association and Gallery 1064 South Hemlock Street in Cannon Beach.  Four new paintings are part of the exhibit titled "In the Moment."  Delighted to say I have been asked to show a picture of Washington's Mount Adams at the coast. Second I will present an image of a favorite coffee place and a painting of a person engaging with a whale.  I chose this theme after a recent beaching of a whale in Warrenton, OR a bit north of here.  I am most excited to show a new "At the Tide Pool" painting bringing you a wonderful sense of the warm spring light, fresh gurgling sea, starfish and sea anemones.  Watch out for seagulls overhead! See you Friday. Friedrich

Come and check out my four miniature oil paintings. Four 6x6 and 5x7 paintings are on display until December 3rd, 2023. Small is beautiful, indeed! See you there !

I am thrilled to announce the opening of my solo exhibition "In the midst of winter soothing light and beauty."

I am deeply grateful to the St. James Visual Arts Group to host twelve of my oil paintings.  After showing my ocean and coast pictures in Cannon Beach last October here the main emphasis is on colorful landscapes and interesting buildings.  On Sunday November 19 the vernissage is preceded by an inspiring Jazz vesper featuring the fantastic Michelle Midler on woodwinds.  At six pm I will give a short presentation explaining my paintings. Hope to see you there. Refreshments and wine will be served. Come and join us ! Have a great enchanting fall ! See you there, thank you !
